  • The Sunrise from the Moon
After years abandoned in isolation, a young refugee woman from a defunct lunar colony is brought to Earth, where she's housed in the jellyfish room of the Georgia Aquarium. Her story stuns the world, and she's touted as a flicker of hope for the previously disgraced space program. The scientist assigned to her case sees beyond her story - but, as their bond strengthens and lines between the personal...

Her story stuns the world, and she's touted as a flicker of hope for the previously disgraced space program. The scientist assigned to her case sees beyond her story - but, as their bond strengthens and lines between the personal and the professional fade away, all involved will be forced to make impossible decisions between integrity, career advancement, human progress, and love.

The Sunrise from the Moon is an exploration of lesbian loneliness. (Know that when I say that, I mean that lesbian loneliness is baked into the fabric of the world, and it would pervade even if every character in the play were heterosexual.) Sunrise interrogates where and why we situate our love and the profound suffering inherent in living in a world that was not made to accommodate your fullest self.

Suddenly, Tara finds herself carrying not only their future child, but a terrible secret as well. Compensation is a dialogue about the complex systems that coerce women into outsourcing their bodies for income, the ethical implications of men purchasing access to those bodies, and the profound yearning for family that drives these people to entangle themselves in these systems in the first place.

Baylee is picking up the pieces after learning her most recent Tinder hookup, a local hotshot news anchor named Johnny, used her to cheat on his girlfriend. She takes comfort in the support of her best friend, Vince - until she learns that Vince is working the Regional Emmy Awards at which Johnny is being honored. Now, her only sounding board is an even-more-recent Tinder match, Nat (because why not open her profile up to 'view men and women,' right?!). But Nat plays a more involved role in this narrative than Baylee realizes.

Teresa’s only window into Maddie’s mind is the orders she places on Amazon.com. So, when new Amazon delivery girl, Nat, communicates with Maddie more effectively than Teresa ever has, Teresa is immediately defensive… but Nat might be just what Teresa needs to finally confront a deep and secret well of familial pain. A snappy comedy with heart, “earth’s most customer-centric company” argues that women, when given the chance to truly know each other, find we are more connected than our world encourages us to realize.
