Emily is a Playwright who comes to Oklahoma City by way of New York City and Dallas, Texas. Her short plays have appeared as part of reading series produced by Lone Star Theatre Co. and aWe Creative Group, and she is one of the writers, directors, and producers of “Group: The Webseries,” the inaugural web series by SeaDog Productions. Her full length work includes Dumpster Fire (SheNYC Festival), Undrown’d: Seeking Asylum (co-written with Benita de Wit, Columbia Stages), Switzerland (Lone Star Theatre Co.), Moonlighting (Lone Star Theatre Co.), Track Twelve (FringeNYC), and The Last Hurrah (Northwestern University).

Synopsis

On January first, Emily wakes up finally ready to admit that, despite her best efforts, there is still something missing and she doesn’t know where to begin. With the help of her mother, her friends, her local librarian, and a slew of historical figures who magically appear and then disappear just as quickly, Emily discovers that she’s not alone—in fact, she’s far from it.

Synopsis

At the age of 30, Katie walked away from a traditional career and relationship to help her widowed father raise his much younger daughter. By the age of 40, she has entrenched herself as the female head-of-household in her father’s home, and isn’t eager to move on. Now, Dad has decided to send his younger daughter away to boarding school, challenging Katie to make a decision about whether and how she’ll live her...

SWITZERLAND follows Katie on a journey back over the last ten years as she figures out whether and how to get back on her former path.
