BRIAN PASTOR is a writer, director, and actor in Chicago, IL. Their short play INHUMAN NATURE was presented by Brave New Word as part of the SLAM Festival at the Arcola Theatre in London and was presented at the Short + Sweet Festival in Sydney, Australia. Their play CAPACITY FOR CURIOSITY, based on an interview with Neil deGrasse Tyson, was presented at the 2018 Art of Adaptation Festival at Chicago's City Lit Theater where it won Best of Festival. Both plays were also presented at Otherworld Theatre's Paragon Festival in Chicago. Their co-adaptations of Mark Twain's PUDD'NHEAD WILSON and Washington Irving's THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW received successful runs at Chicago's City Lit Theater, and their commissioned adaptation of THIRTEEN DAYS, RFK's memoir of the Cuban Missile Crisis, premiered at City Lit in the fall of 2021. A portion of their adaptation of Wilkie Collins's THE MOONSTONE was presented at the Chicago Cultural Center. Brian is a founder and Artistic Director Emeritus of Chicago’s Promethean Theatre Ensemble.
