STNK is a dark satire about police incompetence and the absurd nature of authority in America.

In Laredo Texas, the old-world Spanish-descended families of the American Southwest host a debutante ball in honor of George Washington's birthday, in which the entire town dresses in colonial Williamsburg attire and reenacts a fictional visit from the founding father himself during the American Revolution. Maria, a legacy from the oldest family in town, runs into conflict with Rosario, a new money mestiza girl who's gained entry into the pageant as an attempt at "inclusion." As the two girls wrestle for supremacy, their worlds wrestle for dominance in this raucous fantasy about the complicated mechanisms of border politics.

Retired drag queen and Cuban ex-patriate Emilio lives alone in their apartment, locked away from the world and content to live their life in solitude. When a young revolutionary stumbles across their threshold, pursued by the police, Emilio is forced to confront their past in order to explore their burgeoning relationship. Half club show, half romance, this play examines the unpacking of generational trauma and the hope for new love after the scarring of political and cultural disenfranchisement.
