Nubia Monks is an actor, playwright, and educator. Since graduating from UC San Diego with her MFA in acting, Nubia has had the privilege of performing at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The La Jolla Playhouse, The Old Globe, The Women's Theatre Festival, Ten Thousand Things, The Guthrie Theater, The Folger Theater, Penumbra Theater, Theatre Latte Da, Geva Theater, Pillsbury House + Theatre, Mixed Blood Theater, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, and Cincinnati Playhouse. As a writer, Nubia is committed to telling stories that cater to and centers the Black experience.
