Authentic and effortless characters and dialogue drive this poignant yet funny portrayal of a mother and daughter coping with grief. It's a fun yet heartfelt exploration of a weighty story. I laughed and cried; hits all the notes. In particular, Walker's tender and complex rendering of a teenage girl in pain really resonates.

I absolutely love this play. A mischievous, contemplative, and utterly engaging piece of writing. I savored so many lines, I wanted to write them down but I was too engrossed to stop myself. I'm just so impressed by its exciting originality and brilliant creativity.

Oh man, this play is chilling, funny, poignant and uncomfortable in the best possible way. Filled with characters you love and squirm for. <3 is a wonderful example of Sara's coveted ability to write complex, emotionally engaging plays that seem light and effortless. I'm a big fan of her work, this one in particular. A must.

Saw a brilliant reading of CAM BABY at Great Plains Theatre Conference. This play had me laughing so hard I had to quiet myself to hear the next joke and then it brought me to full-blown sobs with it's tender and vulnerable exploration of loneliness and otherness. The experience was exhilarating, exactly why I go to the theatre. I can't recommend it enough to everyone I know.

I loved all 90 minutes I spent in Tillerman House. So many brilliant, hilarious and revealing one-liners my hand hurt writing them down. A smart, sharp and thoughtful play featuring characters I loved spending time with. Don't let me ending a sentence in a preposition stop you from reading this play. You must.

A keen, witty and tenacious look into a couple's choice not to have children featuring my favorite kind characters to watch onstage: a strong-willed, opinionated woman and a misanthrope. Provocative and evocative. Its themes really moved me. Check it out!
  • The Beautiful Dark

A haunting, sophisticated and beautifully-crafted play featuring complex characters and questions. It tackles the issue of mass shootings from a fresh domestic perspective. Sadly, given the current state of affairs, this play will be relevant for some time. I read The Beautiful Dark over 5 years ago and I still think of it and speak of it frequently. I am a huge fan of Erik's bold yet nuanced writing.

I love this hilarious and original play. Underneath all the fun and belly laughs are beautifully crafted characters and a tender and complex rendering of what grief does to a relationship. I am a big fan of Deb's writing.
  • After and Before

I saw a great workshop of this at The Blank Theatre's Living Room Series. I am a big fan of Eric's writing and like all of his other stuff I've read, After and Before is original, timely, smart, heartfelt, and funny.
