Erica Joyce Zephir is an MFA playwright candidate from Hollins University. Erica was born and raised in Cap Haitien, Haiti. She moved to the United States in 2006 to continue her studies. She is an Educator from Tampa, Florida. Since 2009, she acted in various productions such as "You Can’t Take It With You, Almost Maine, and Romeo and Juliet." In 2015, Erica begins her Playwriting career. Since then she’s written many plays such as "Hurricane Bash, At the Well, and Family showtime." Her play Why Now? was showcased at the University of South Florida and became a semi-finalist at the KCACTF Region IV theatre festival in 2016. Erica’s new play "Pain No More, God Speed" was featured in a staged reading at The Last Frontier Theatre Festival in Alaska in June 2019. Furthermore, in 2019, Erica self-published a book of inspirational poetry "Strength of Fight." Her hobbies include working with the youth department at church, singing, bowling, and sleep.
