I was lucky to see this magical and surprising play in a staged reading. The Zoe/April friendship and the rabbit hole we go down with the dead woman is intriguing while equal parts funny and harrowing. The relationships are so strong and built so deftly within the scenes...it's a terrific ride of a play.

I had the good fortune of seeing a reading of this engaging play that delves into both addiction and trauma with humor and grace. The distinct characters each provide a unique window into the world of the play that's grounded in human connections. A terrific vehicle for a strong ensemble cast.

I had the good fortune of experiencing this play as part of the 2022 Epiphanies New Play Festival in Waco, TX. This play balances its darkness with humor in terrific ways. I particularly enjoyed the female characters and the wild nature of the narrative. It twists in unexpected ways and kept us all on edge.

I had the good fortune of experiencing this play as a staged reading at the 2022 Epiphanies New Works Festival in Waco, TX. Each scene is incredibly visceral and imaginative. The writing is succinct and engaging. This is one of those plays you can't wait to see fully staged because you know the theatricality will take the already solid storytelling to the next level.

I was fortunate to see a reading of this difficult yet imperative play about coming of age within a white patriarchy. The three characters present three unique experiences that also effectively overlap. This is the kind of play that can have as much impact on the artists producing it as it can for an audience experiencing it. We keep hearing that theaters want women's voices...Emma has an important voice that resonates for many women. The time has come for this play to see a full production.

This is exactly the kind of play I go to the theater to see. Funny, poignant, terrifying and magical. The distinct characters have just enough flavor to feel dramatically specific but also universal in their individual quests. Add in the overall adventure and inventiveness of the story and this is a play that begs to be staged to reach its full potential. I had so many emotions while reading the script, I can only imagine how dynamic and fun it would be in production.
