    I. Love. This. Play. I had the privilege of being at a reading, and it was beautifully done. Emma is doing something that a lot of playwrights are slow to do. She's writing for millennial. If you're a millennial that grew up with RPG games, this show is for you. The nostalgia factor, and the memories (or traumas) of living life through junior high and high school...along with sexually waking up. They all come to the forefront in this forward thinking play. Such a beautiful and current piece of work.

Emma Carter is a witty, smart playwright with a wonderful feminine touch. Wicked Creatures does not disapoint in in expectation. This beautifully sad and interesting look at sexual consent turned on its head tells a wonderful story, and makes you question your own level of morals. "Would I be laughing at this if the genders were reversed?" is a constant question that came up in my mind. Any theatre that has the privilege of doing this brave and edgy work should consider themselves and their audience fortunate.
