What a gorgeous play -- these characters that Bernardo has assembled so deftly immediately draw you in with honesty and idiocy and sharpness and above all, humor. This thing is laugh-out-loud funny, which is so important when you're delving even slightly into identity politics these days. I cannot wait to see a production of this brand new work, which is touching and powerful and absolutely takes no prisoners. Bravo.

What a fantastic play, as suspenseful as it is witty. Its questions about who has the right to tell which story will surely have people talking for hours after seeing the play (I can't wait for this play's premiere, which will hopefully happen soon). And the playwright's gift with dialogue and subtext will be an actor's dream. Another wonderful piece by a brilliant writer.

Wow. Spare and unsparing, this is an intense and fascinating family drama wrapped up in an apocalyptic fairy tale (which might be more real than any of us want to admit). The playwright has a wonderful gift for dialogue, and knows how to use it minimally to draw characters with maximum impact. Any actor worth their salt would gobble up every page, every moment, every letter of this thought-provoking play.

What a rollercoaster ride this play is! The dialogue crackles and flows between these distinct, rich characters, who find themselves in a surreal "space" outside of time, but also very much of our time. This play is a fascinating dive into how we allow other women to try and push us towards what they want us to be, and how we can find ways to chart whatever course is right for ourselves. The Voice of Hope, indeed. Would love to see a production of this one -- great effects with light & shadows would make for a lot of fun.

This play made me laugh out loud -- in between gasps of recognizing how insane the "self-help" world really can be. The playwright has created distinct and specific characters that inhabit this highly claustrophobic conference room, and I found myself on the edge of my seat following all the twists and turns and alliances and surprises. It's hilarious and shocking and wince-worthy and powerful, and deserves an A+ production.

You gotta love an entertaining play that shares a little-known historical nugget and brings it fully to life. Much more than a play about one woman in a certain time, this play paints a rather devastating portrait of what it must have been to be any woman during that time. Engaging and powerful.

Oh man. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. This play is wonderfully written and paced, and provides each of the two amazing characters terrific arcs. The playwright really captures that ineffable sibling *thing* -- that connection that simultaneously drives a person insane and also feels like the best hug you've ever had in your life. There's a line in the last third of the play that also made me gasp with how lovely it was, how profound and meaningful. I just loved it, and think everyone will relate in some way. Cheers!

This is a wonderful audio play! The characters are well drawn from the start, and it's quite suspenseful. How fun.

What a powerful, moving play. The playwright has a mastery of pacing, building tension and using a sense of humor that stems organically from well-drawn, rich characters. The play elicits a lot of emotion, and stays with the reader long after it's over. Every theater should consider this play. As entertaining as it is relevant.

A wonderful two-hander with humor and insight and wonderful dialogue. You fall for the characters right away -- very distinct voices that rise and fall in harmony and discord both. Great turns for good actors here. Touching and timely!
