RN Healey

RN Healey is a writer and sometimes performer. Her scripts have been performed/work-shopped/developed in Dublin Ireland, New York, Minneapolis, Washington D.C. and Pittsburgh. In 2010 her play A Vanishing Act was developed at the MFA playwright’s workshop through the John F. Kennedy Center. She is the recipient of 2nd place for the Mark Twain Prize for comedic playwriting (2012) as well as the Mary Marlin Fisher Playwriting award (Carnegie Mellon University, 2012). Companies who have produced her work include Meat and Bone Theatre Co. (Brooklyn, NY), Bricolage Production Co. in (Pittsburgh, PA) and Brave New World Repertory Theatre (Brooklyn, NY). She was an artist in residence at the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild in Woodstock New York in September of 2012. In November of 2013 her ten minute adaptation of Euripides’ The Bacchae; “Dion”, was commissioned as part of Wabash College’s one-act festival. Her play Nun$ premiered at the Brick theater through Brave New World Repertory Theatre in March of 2014 (Brooklyn, NY), in March of 2015 she performed her work "Kill Fox Kill Kill" at Dixon Place Lounge, MFA Carnegie Mellon University, 2012

Synopsis

A distant kingdom is immersed in civil war. An Assassin with a youngest child complex is obsessed with murdering the tyrannical king. A Stupid Girl is searching for love and working odd jobs. When these seemingly disparate existences collide the result is, to say the least, explosive.
