But as the pressure mounts, they find themselves dealing not only loss and new responsibility but also the forces of gentrification – and, perhaps, a malevolent snake deity called forth during a magic spell gone wrong. Will the magic shop and its owners find solid ground or will the business, the family, and the neighborhood get literally swept away by the currents of time? The Problem with Magic, Is: is a fantastical exploration on family, gentrification, time, and what it means to be home.
  • Or, An Astronaut Play

  • PATIENCE
Daniel plays solitaire. Professionally. He’s very good – some would say the best. But he thinks he's ready to retire and settle into his new house with his husband-to-be, Jordan. If only he can hold it together through one final match. A sports-inspired fantasia, PATIENCE is a mediation on Black excellence, next chapters, and playing a very long game alone.
  • ROUND
Branden is in his 20’s, black, queer, and can host (facepix only though!) Seth’s an athletic jock, white, gay, vers, and looking for a no strings attached just for tonight masc hookup. It’s a match made on an app. But there are red flags – Seth might have brought a friend. And they might be trying to colonize Branden’s apartment. And maybe Branden can’t bring himself to care? A queer scene cycle, ROUND explores...

A queer scene cycle, ROUND explores how the racism of everyday queer life comes into the bedroom. Top 30, Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival 2019.
  • I AM A HOUSE.
    A monologue for a house.
  • Plant Therapy
Feel the soil in your fingers. The smoothness of the handle of the shovel in your palm. Obtain the seeds, provided via algorithm. Consider the work ahead. And prepare to dig.
