Mary Beringer

Mary Beringer (she/they) is a playwright currently working in the nonprofit space in Southwest Ohio. After working as a high school English teacher, she then became a full-time grant writer. Her plays have been featured at the Know Theatre of Cincinnati, the University of Dayton's Studio Theatre, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She enjoys acting in local theatre and being involved in her local queer community. Most of her plays feature queer or feminist themes, and she enjoys taking inspiration from historical works that were written by men, and reimagining them in her own voice.
