Madeline Mahrer is a playwright currently based in Los Angeles and entering her second year at UCLA in the MFA playwriting program. She received her Bachelor's at San Francisco State University for Creative Writing with a minor in Film and studied sketch writing at UCB, New York.

    Four friends from college have an "adulting dinner" to celebrate their adultness. Adulting includes: doing taxes, buying houses, eating vegetables, having children, (thinking about but not actually) flossing and most importantly, giving up on their silly dreams to be filmmakers and pursuing real jobs instead like restaurant management, software development and child rearing. But when the two couples find out that a former classmate’s film is headed to Sundance, jealousy begins to surface, revealing lies, secrets, and regrets that will make this their biggest adulting hurdle yet.
