Margot Connolly is playwright originally from Pleasantville, NY. Her plays include Belfast Kind (Winner, Jewish Plays Project's Jewish Playwriting Contest), Quiz Out (Princess Grace Finalist), Tough, and Lingering. Her work has been produced and developed through Primary Stages, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, the Williamstown Theatre Festival, the Playwrights Center, the Drama League, the Jewish Plays Project, the Berkshire Fringe Festival, Ugly Rhino's Tiny Rhino, and the 2015 Frigid Fringe Festival, among others. She was a 2010-2011 Core Apprentice at the Playwrights Center and a 24 Hour Plays: Nationals 2015 company member. She received her BA from Bennington College, her MFA from the University of Iowa’s Playwrights Workshop, and is currently a Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwrights’ Program fellow at Juilliard.

    Harper's moved back to her aunts house for her junior year of high school and her aunt thinks she should pick everything up where she left off - school, youth ministry, her best friend Hannah. But her relationship with Hannah has changed, and Hannah seems to feel it too. As they join their church Bible Quiz team and spend more and more time together, they learn more about themselves and the Bible than they ever thought they would.

    The troubled teen boot camp, Crosswinds, sells itself to parents as a behavior modification program that will help their daughters straighten out. The girls who have been sent here, however, learn it is a place of ever changing rules, harsh punishments, and ever-increasing desperation. When they hear a rumor that the program will be shut down if a camper dies, the girls plan their escape - by whatever means necessary.
