Dara (she/they) is a queer interdisciplinary theatre maker with experience in writing, performing, directing, facilitation, and devised theatre. She is a longtime New Yorker with a passion for social justice, politics, and musical theatre. Currently, she is pursuing a second MA in Equity and Advocacy in Theatre Performance at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2023. She holds an MA in Applied Theatre with Merit from Goldsmiths, University of London and a BA in Theatre with a minor in Sociology from Hunter College. She currently resides in Astoria, Queens with her cat Orpheus.

    A man and a woman jump off a cliff together. A woman in a wedding dress has run away. They find each other underneath the ground, and they reach out their hands. This new play examines the ways in which we seek connection and manage to love each other even in the most impossible of circumstances.

    The first university production was staged at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA from February 16-20, 2022. It was directed by Emma White (she/her).
