Terrance Brooks Boykin is an American playwright and poet. His plays include Red Bird Lane, The Stand, Rebirth in the Garden, Wrestling with Untitled, and The Private Life. Boykin has studied playwrighting with Jeffrey Sweet and Will Dunne. His most recent play, Red Bird Lane was developed in Bishop Arts Theatre Center’s First Move Playwrights lab, led by Franky D. Gonzalez. As a filmmaker, he earned a screenwriting credit for the children’s action-adventure, the Black Cougar. He currently supports playwrights in Dallas/Fort Worth as the Regional Representative for the Dramatists Guild of America.

In 1999, a few days before the new millennium, a family struggles with the decision to sell their book restoration business and a vast collection of ancient texts. In the midst of a storm, a woman pays them a visit, insisting that they help find a cure for her daughter’s illness. ***The play is currently being revised.
