Created through an international collaboration, the piece premiered at HERE Arts summer sublet series after a developmental workshop at INTAR, and dealt with a Latina woman learning how to reintegrate play back into her life, while navigating her identity as a Latina/Gringa. Her full-length piece LA RATA (Latina Radio Takeover), a dark farcical comedy, received a Make Room Residency at Governor’s Island, led by director Edward Torres. She has written a few short plays, including Mamamorphosis featured in the first ever NY Madness consisting of only Latinx Women writers. Daniela wrote her play Mijita, during the pandemic, with support from The Playgound Experiment, ending in a public reading on zoom. The play also had a closed reading with Latinx Playwright’s Circle First Draft Series. Daniela is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing at Goddard College.
