Jeana Scotti is a New York born and raised playwright and teaching artist. Her plays have been performed at Rutgers Mason Gross, Dixon Place, Ensemble Studio Theatre, The Tank, Theatre for a New City, and Access Theater.   • The Possessed Girls of St.Mary's
    In 1969, thirteen year old Alex is about to make her Confirmation, but certain signs and behavior that are beyond her control, make her believe she's possessed. It starts to spread to the other girls in the grade and threatens to take over the school, the country, and their bodies. A play about nuns, uniforms, and masturbation.

    Tanya reports the candy store owner for "being a creep." The store is infested with cockroaches and the manager is freaking out that they'll fail the health inspection.     A girl a discovers through social media that her mother has been living under a false identity for her entire life and is an ex soap star who ran away from her husband (who she only describes as dangerous), taking only her daughter and leaving her son behind. The woman's past comes back to haunt her, not only in the sudden appearance of her ex who her daughter is developing a relationship with, but also as her soap characters who have been killed off, come back and begin narrating her thoughts and take the form of a chorus.
