Shaun Bennet Fauntleroy is a playwright, actress, director, and producer. As a playwright she has worked with NY Madness, Red Caravan, Flux Theatre Ensemble, WRITEOUTFRONT, The Brick Theatre, and Judson Memorial Church’s development series. She is an awardee of a 2017 Emerging Theatre Artist grant from the Theater Hall of Fame, and recently received an Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role nomination from the NY Innovative Theatre Awards for her work as Queen Elizabeth in RICHARD III. As a director, she recently directed Sea Dog Theater Company’s world premiere of Devin Burnham’s new play THE CATASTROPHE CLUB, and ROMEO & JULIET for Smith Street Stage. Shaun is one of Gingold Theatrical Group’s 2018 Speakers’ Corner Playwrights and is also a member of the Dramatists Guild, Actors’ Equity, Flux Theatre Ensemble (FoF), and the Beehive Collective.
