DJ Hills (they/them) is a cross-genre writer, working in the intersections of poetry, prose, and performance. As a playwright, DJ’s work has been produced and developed in and around the Baltimore-D.C. metro area and in southern Pennsylvania, including Single Carrot Theatre (WE BROKE UP.) and The Kennedy Center (JUNIPER JONES & THE ROCKET SHE BUILT).

DJ Hills (they/them) is a cross-genre writer, working in the intersections of poetry, prose, and performance. As a playwright, DJ’s work has been produced and developed in and around the Baltimore-D.C. metro area and in southern Pennsylvania, including Single Carrot Theatre (WE BROKE UP.) and The Kennedy Center (JUNIPER JONES & THE ROCKET SHE BUILT).

DJ served as an Artistic Fellow at Single Carrot Theatre and was named a Horticulture Playwrights Fellow and a Goucher College Kratz Fellow in Creative Writing.

Other writing appears most recently in Wigleaf, SmokeLong Quarterly, and Free State Review. Proudly born and raised in the shadow of the Appalachians, DJ currently lives in Los Angeles where they are pursuing their MFA in Playwriting at UCLA.
