Nicole writes plays about belonging. To what and to whom do we belong, and why? Her play, Abomination, won the inaugural Patty Abramson prize from Theater J in Washington, DC. In the summer of 2019, her show, "Office of the Speaker," won Best Drama at DC's Capital Fringe Festival 2019. It was her first production. She has had readings at Theater J, the Kennedy Center's Page-to-Stage Festival, Spooky Action's New Works in Action Series, the National 1-Minute Play Festival, Chicago Dramatists Theatre, Fine Print Theatre Company, and Victory Gardens Theatre. In 2015, she was one of 12 playwrights Paula Vogel and Dan O'Brien invited to the Sewanee Writers' Conference. She's been awarded residencies and, in 2018, a Maryland State Arts Council grant.
