Luca Aiello
Luca Aiello is an Italian playwright from Siracusa (South Italy). In 1996 he moved to Bologna, in northern Italy, where he lived for fifteen years, before moving to Ferrara in 2011. He writes in Italian and then translates his plays in English. He has a degree in Dramaturgy and attended workshops with authors such as José Sanchis Sinisterra and Luigi Gozzi.

- In May 2018 his play "The Wait" won the Prize for best playwriting in the italian "La riviera dei monologhi 2018" competition.
- In September 2019 the same work won the "Belli lunghi" competition for staging at the "Nuovo Teatro San Paolo" in Rome on 6, 7 and 8 March 2020.
- In the same period, the play "The wait" and the monologue "After one hundred and eighty hours" have been semi-finalists in the "Tragos Ernesto Calindri Award" competition.
