Sanam Laila Hashemi

Sanam Laila Hashemi is an Iranian-American actor and writer. A Virginia native, she is currently based in New York City. As an inaugural member of Cadence Theatre Company’s Pipeline New Works Fellowship, she has written two plays under the mentorship of David Lindsay-Abaire. She holds a BA in Theater Arts and International Studies from Virginia Tech.

Synopsis

It's Thursday at the graveyard and Pat is cruising through his shift. When a past acquaintance mistakenly arrives in town early for a funeral, Pat offers him a place to stay. As the two spend the week playing graveside games and caring for a pet lizard, a dark event from their past resurfaces.
