Lily Dwoskin is a bookwriter, lyricist, and playwright based in New York. She is a graduate of NYU’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. She is the bookwriter/lyricist of: Hyena in Petticoats, The Aviatrix and The Scarlet Savior which ran Off Broadway at St. Luke's Theatre. Originally, Lily is from the greater Philadelphia region. Lily Dwoskin is a bookwriter, lyricist, and playwright based in New York. She is a graduate of NYU’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. She is the bookwriter/lyricist of: Hyena in Petticoats, The Aviatrix and The Scarlet Savior which ran Off Broadway at St. Luke's Theatre. Originally, Lily is from the greater Philadelphia region. Her one act plays: Tales of Edgar Allen Poe and Story Time: The Wizard of Oz were commissioned by Hedgerow Theatre Company. A few of Lily’s stand alone songs were performed in William Finn’s “Ridiculously Talented…” cabaret at Barrington Stage Company. Lily's work has been performed at St. Luke's Theatre, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, The Greenroom 42, and more. Lily works for and is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America and has worked as a director, dramaturg, teaching artist and stage manager.

  • The Scarlet Savior: A Comic Book Musical
    Book/Lyrics: Lily Dwoskin, Book/Music: Austin Nuckols: Maggie Sullivan, a small town superhero gets hired by Superhero Inc. to take over as New York’s first female Superhero. But life isn’t a comic book and Maggie soon learns that the lines between heroes and villains, aren’t so clearly drawn.

But Facebook is spreading it like wildfire. A rag tag group of survivors tries to end the virus by doing the only sensible thing, killing Mark Zuckerberg.

    The Aviatrix (Book and Lyrics by Lily Dwoskin; Music by Casey O’Neil) is a musical which asks the question, “What would you sacrifice for your dreams?” Told by all womxn voices, The Aviatrix follows Harriet Quimby, the first American woman to get her pilot’s license and the first woman in the world to fly across the English Channel. We follow Harriet as her constant drive to achieve greatness overtakes her relationships, including her friendship with fellow aviatrix, Matilde Moisant. In the end, Harriet meets the same fate as her fellow aviators when she is tragically thrown from her plane. With a contemporary pop and jazz score, The Aviatrix shares Harriet Quimby's legacy with a new audience and sings the story of this forgotten American hero.
