Commissioned by Dallas College's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Scholars, this play is inspired by interviews with members of Dallas' Mexican-American and Hispanic-identifying community, transformed into a series of monologues. Each monologue touches on how their ethnicity and heritage are (mis)represented in the media, the judicial system, labour opportunities, mental health, and higher education, offering a powerful collective portrait of resilience, pride, and identity.

Coming from a long line of superheroes disguised as campesinos, Maricela dreams of the day she’ll have the superpowers her family has hidden. When Maricela is taken out of the fields and put into public school, her family is terrified that their secret identities will be revealed. Maricela’s world is shattered as she struggles to fight for what she believes is right in a world she doesn’t understand.

Young Lulu embarks on an epic, video game coming-of-age adventure to become "a Chicana Legend" - the ultimate inspiration to her community. Lulu must make good choices, combat small-town chisme and defend her family's reputation, all with the weight of the community on her shoulders. A cut-throat, jaw-dropping, new, messy musical. A cleaning crew that works for a hit man in 90s L.A. in return for safety in the streets. But tonight, rhymes and suspicions fly as they’re cleaning up their 4th murdered member of their crew, and a mysterious visitor shows up, claiming to be the new trainee...

Granny hasn’t been visited by her red-hooded grandson in a while, and with Dementia being the only one keeping her company, she can’t remember how long it’s been. Wolfie, nicknamed after his favorite childhood bedtime story and now much older, is in for a surprise when neither of them resembles how they remember (or don’t remember) each other. In this contemporary twist on Little Red Riding Hood, what Wolfie thought would be a simple trip to Granny’s house, turns into a battle against Dementia to keep Granny’s attention long enough to reveal the reason behind his spontaneous visit.

Anything can happen before Mama calls for dinner. Until then, the masked "EL NIÑO RÁPIDO" takes to the ring before a crowd of adoring fans! But, as a fatal blow smacks our tearful little luchador out of his fantasy, a voice from beyond reminds him of the harmful reality that "hombres verdaderos, no lloran."

As a mom too young and taken too soon, Maricela’s been twisted by Grandma into a blueprint of what mistakes not to make for her daughter Cynthia. With a new boyfriend, “Jorge,” and eager to show off that she’s escaped her mother’s shadow, Cynthia returns home unrecognizable from the little girl they used to know. Worried his memory is playing tricks on him, her dad, Juan is determined to prove that he raised her well enough to make her own decisions, while Grandma and Maricela, in their own ways, know something is not right about this boy and must get rid of him.
