Mark Bly is the Director and Co-Founder of the Kennedy Center Dramaturgy Intensive, and former Board Member and Ambassador for National New Play Network. He was Chair of Yale School of Drama Playwriting Program 1992-2004. A nationally known dramaturg for over 40 years he has dramaturged in resident theaters and on Broadway on over 250 plays many of them world premieres. His latest book is New Dramaturgies: Strategies and Exercises for 21st Century Playwriting (2019). He is available as a free-lance dramaturg for hire for playwrights and theaters and is the Associate Artistic Producer/ Dramaturg for the recently released film Ecstasy by Moara Passoni the Brazilian writer and producer for the Academy Award- nominee film The Edge of Democracy.
