A Phoenix native, Ron attended Arizona State University, working on a BS in Business and an MFA in Creative Writing. As a playwright. he has had over fifty plays produced in the Phoenix area, a few of them being FILLING THE CAVITY, LOVE JUICES, and SUBURBAN SEXIST NEO-NAZI SCUM. His satirical short play THEY STOLE HEMINGWAY'S BRAIN! has been performed as far away as the Czech Republic.

Ron also writes screenplays. As a result of the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition, his semi-finalist script GOODBYE, LOVER was produced by New Regency — with two-time Oscar nominee Roland Joffe (The Mission, The Killing Fields) directing. The film was released in April of '99 in theaters across the country.

Ron's second feature, I LOVE YOU, BABY, with Academy Award-winner Maximilian Schell and Mark Keller, was theatrically released in Germany in April 2000. In addition, his thriller, FALLING ROCKS, with Christoph Waltz, was shot completely on location in South Africa and aired on German television in the summer of 2000. Most recently, Ron was a writer on the film, BULLET, starring Danny Trejo and Jonathan Banks.
