London, UK: Christmas Day. Middle class couple Harry and Tamsin invite young homeless man Rory into their home to share Christmas with them and their daughter, Jenna. Presents are opened; parlour games played; parsnips and sprouts prepared; pregnancies faked and perfect preparations disrupted.

It soon becomes obvious that Rory is no typical rough sleeper, however, proving himself smart, capable and literate. But when Harry’s arch-nemesis Donald and his unhappily browbeaten wife Marissa arrive accompanied by their own homeless guest, Den, what initially appeared to be an act of faintly patronising charity reveals itself as something much less festive. Rory and Den have been brought there for a chance to win a potentially life-changing sum of money…all they need to do is fight each other to the death.

Rory is left with his world unraveling, trapped, not wanting to die and not wanting to kill, faced with a dangerous opponent who’s ready to do anything to get off the streets. The bleak competition slowly unspools the lives of all involved in a constantly switching atmosphere of comedy and darkness as they move inexorably closer to the fight itself. Ultimately, no matter who survives, no-one will escape unscathed.

A pair of bickering brothers live in a small cabin - isolated in a frozen wasteland - nostalgic for what they no longer have and arguing over what they do. Which is mainly soup.

Soon they are unexpectedly joined by a young woman, seemingly feverish from the cold, or perhaps just a little...off. Her presence drives a wedge into an already pretty wedgey fraternal relationship as they vie for her affections - driven by protective and lustful urges, respectively.

A dark supernatural comedy about desire.

Note: Dialogue is written with UK accents in mind but, due to the non-specific location, can easily be changed to any other accent without author's input.
