A medical facility practicing a type of surgery that corrects personality traits in order to create a more "perfect" human. This is the nightmare that seventeen-year-old Miriam has entered. She was enjoying a rebellious teenage life until she was placed into the clinic as a form of behavioural correction. Her ethics challenged, she tries to fight against the procedure, but the doctors aren't understanding. She confides in Blank, a patient for very different reasons. Together, they devise a way to escape the clinic and dismantle the system—if they can make it through the night.

At the same time, detective Sarah Monroe has been tasked with locating two missing persons: Miriam Fuller and Brooker "Blank" Moreau. She stays awake researching their whereabouts, coming to a dead end at every turn she takes. There is something more sinister going on: it draws upon bad 1980s science fiction movies but extends into a larger conversation of how communities are working to dismantle oppressive structures.

A play about cosmetic surgery, identity, and whatever the hell perfection is.

Against the arid backdrop of the Dust Bowl, Abital digs in the farmland soil for a hidden lake prophesied to her in a dream—her last-ditch effort to reclaim water after growing concerns that the nearby river basin is soon to run dry. Meanwhile, her brother Gabriel charts weather patterns in hopes to predict the next rainfall. Inside their generations-old house, the children’s sheltered and skeptical mother—a frontierswoman and a barkeep—washes away the myths spun to her at the saloon as she searches for her missing acquaintance. Over one long night, at the arrival of a Western outlaw, the children are forced to reckon with the deadly potential of the dust that their mother has kept hidden from them, as they decide whether to leave their land or if they’re too indebted, owing too much to ever leave.

A play about the American frontier myth and what it means to be forgotten by history.
