Ledia Xhoga is an Albanian born and Brooklyn based fiction writer, playwright and
screenwriter. Her fiction has been published in various magazines and journals, such as Akashic
Books Online, Hobart, KGB Bar journal, Sonora Review, and others. Most recently, her
monologue The Winner was presented at the Kraine Theater by the PlayGround Experiment, as
part of the Faces of America...

monologue The Winner was presented at the Kraine Theater by the PlayGround Experiment, as
part of the Faces of America Monologue Festival, and it was included in the Festival’s
Monologue Anthology. Her play The Delay was performed at the Wild Project in Manhattan as
part of the Downtown Urban Arts Festival and as part of the Tri-State Theatre Festival by South
Street Players in New Jersey. Her play Coincidence has been performed at the Manhattan Rep
Theatre Festival and the Midtown International Theatre Festival.

    Luisa, nearly forty, has a complex friendship with Ana, a younger woman. She drives to Ana’s house in the morning and gets in bed with her, pretending they spent the night together. Ana says she’s traveling but only goes so far as the airport and, once there, draws scenes from European countries until it’s time for Luisa to pick her up. The women's unusual friendship puzzles Beatriz, Luisa’s down-to-earth...
