I began play writing late in life in 2008. My very first effort was selected and performed at the North Park Play Festival .I was chosen one of San Diego's Emerging Playwrights by Playwrights Project. My play HOLY NAME was performed Off Off Broadway at the 13th Street Rep. and my play REPULSING THE MONKEY was performed at 101% capacity in San Diego and in Pittsburgh. I began play writing late in life in 2008. My very first effort was selected and performed at the North Park Play Festival .I was chosen one of San Diego's Emerging Playwrights by Playwrights Project. My play HOLY NAME was performed Off Off Broadway at the 13th Street Rep. and my play REPULSING THE MONKEY was performed at 101% capacity in San Diego and in Pittsburgh. MEET ME IN THE DARK received a full production in Portland by Salt and Sage, March 2017. I completed a residency at the IRT Theater in New York City in 2018.

  • THE HOUSED WHERE NOBODY LIVES
    An elderly White man, going blind, returns to his boyhood home where he had suffered abuse. When he enters the seemingly abandoned and vacant home, he is held at gunpoint by Black drug dealers. In what begins in the most negative stereotypical manner imaginable,the play twists and turns to a surprising conclusion.
  • SMALL LITTLE SAFE WORLD
    A lonely middle aged man meets a much younger woman in a diner. She is interested in him only if he pretends to be someone else and she pretends to be even younger.
  • LEFTY AND PONCHO
    Hannah, 22, loses her roommate and needs a replacement. She asks her abusive boyfriend and close girlfriend to move in and both refuse. She advertises on line and every body is incompatible. The rent is due and she has only one last applicant:a 68 year old man!
  • Repulsing The Monkey
    A brother and sister inherit a working class bar in Pittsburgh. Millenials for New York and California swarm in to make offers to buy it and "retrofit" it to new uses. Should they sell it for the money and lose their neighborhood?
  • MEET ME IN THE DARK
    Two working class single mothers and their teen daughters struggle to get by in Altoona Pa. One mother and her attractive daughter scheme to get money from the unpopular girl and her mother by providing "training".
  • HEART OF A LION
    A widower lives a lonely life in a single room occupancy hotel. He shares his apartment with a lion puppet. He spends his days trying to "fix up" the desk clerk with the coffee shop barista. in an attempt at relavence he offers to mentor a local high school student and everyone is tested and challenged. HEART OF A LION is a sweet old fashioned odd little romance story.
  • HOLY NAME
    A blue collar family in Buffalo NY in the 60's is lead by a mentally ill mother. Her story is told through the eyes of a twelve year old boy as he approaches his Confirmation.
