Raised in the rural South as the eldest child of Indian immigrants, Deepthy always felt happiest choosing unconventional life paths filled with diverse characters and friendships. While she writes fast-paced plays with characters bravely making high-stakes decisions, Deepthy spends much of her time being manipulated by her two adorable doodles and deciding which book to read next. She is an adjunct law professor at Emory, where she teaches trial techniques, and her photographs have been juried into exhibitions with Emory Midtown Hospital, Lenscratch magazine, and the Santa Fe School of Photography.
