Jeanne Tiehen is a theatre artist who writes plays, directs, has taught theatre courses, and works on research about science plays.
Her play Anniversary first appeared in the Paragon Festival at Otherworld Theatre in Chicago in 2018, and then was fully produced and staged at Otherworld Theatre in February 2020. Her adaptation of The Three Sisters: On Zoom was created for Susquehanna University --where she teaches--to meet the needs of doing a large cast play on Zoom. A comedic look at the original Chekhov play, her adaptation adds a few extra characters and comments on the unique challenges of doing theatre in the era of Zoom.
Her book, The Theatre of Nuclear Science: Weapons, Power, and the Scientists Behind it All, was published with Routledge in 2021.
