Marilyn Schotland

Marilyn Schotland is a queer Jewish poet and playwright from Ann Arbor by way of Philadelphia. They are a Lambda Literary fellow and a recipient of the Kennedy Center National Partners of the American Theater Julie Jensen Playwriting Award. Their work has been presented at the Ebell of Los Angeles, Villa Aurora, and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. Selected plays include “Perihelion,” “Somewhere Someone is Traveling Furiously Towards You,” and “The Dybbuk on Orchard.” Marilyn holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from the University of Southern California.

Vibrant astronomer Rosa dreams of fame, prickly medievalist Jude longs for an end to academic woes, and mercurial ex-thief Val hopes to be sober enough to see it. When Rosa's eager protégé Sigal enters the fold, the bonds uniting them all begin to fray. As the summer comes to an end, a betrayal splinters the group irreparably just as France...

Their precarious dynamic is put to the test with the simultaneous arrivals of Val's cousin from Nazi Germany and a glamorous starlet fleeing...
