Colin, the high school theatre director – unemployed due to recent budget cuts – convinces Mitch – the lone member of the City Council – to invest in a community production of A Christmas Carol to improve morale and rally the town. It seems the fate of the town rests on Colin’s shoulders. But he does have help from his stage manager Rachel, and his ill-cast troupe actors, including: Doris, the professional “artiste” and theatre veteran (think Norma Desmond,) Janice, straight A+ student and DIY queen, and Joshua, a young man dealing with the ghosts of his own past. Can this one show keep Millsburg from becoming a ghost town?

One Last Christmas in Millsburg is my love letter to community theatre.
