Basil Parnell

Basil Parnell (they/them) is a playwright, dramaturg, and theatre artist. An Arkansas native, many of their plays revolve around living in the south, family, and transgender and queer identity. They also explore experimental theatre and love to push the boundaries of what can and should be on stage. They have a BA in Writing for the Stage from Marymount Manhattan College and they are an MFA Playwright at the University of Arkansas. Outside of the theatre, Basil enjoys baking cakes and other sweet treats and cuddling with their cat, Pixie, and Shiba Inu, Peach.
