Melanie is a playwright, director, producer, and actor whose plays have been produced and workshopped with Seattle Repertory Theatre, Taproot Theatre, New Mexico Actor’s Lab, The Seattle Play Series, and Macha Theatre Works.
She is also a founding member of The Co-Conspirators, a Seattle-based producing collective with whom she produced and directed her original play, SPONSORED BY THE VOID, in Seattle, where it won the 2025 Gregory Award for People’s Choice- Outstanding Production of a Limited Run, and at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where it won a Critic’s Choice Award.
She has written educational touring shows that focus on bullying prevention and Social-Emotional Learning for Taproot Theatre's Road Company since 2017.
