Mary Powelson is a lifelong theatre artist and an emerging playwright. As a director, actor, and dramaturg, and producer, she works with New York and SF Bay Area writers in new works development. Her first ten-minute play, Iphigenia at Nasdaq, was a 2000 Finalist for the Heideman Award. Mary just completed her first full-length play, The Jumping Off Place. Her personal essay, Air, was published in (Her)oics, an anthology of women's lived experiences during the pandemic (Pact Press, 3/21). Mary is a member of New Ambassadors Theatre, NYC and a Board Member of Greenwood Lake Theater, Warwick, NY.
