It has won 3 Mass Cultural Council Grants. Stephan Morrow of the Great American Play Series directed Karen Lynn Gorney and Brian Childers in the NYC production. Bridget Kathleen O'Leary directed the Boston area production in 2019. RECOVERY was translated into Greek and produced by Facta Non Verba Theatre in Greece in March 2020. THE OPEN FIST THEATRE CO. plans an LA production the fall of 2022. This play takes a new look at the addiction crisis as it asks "How do the mothers of addicts recover?" It is part of the LET'S GIVE IT UP FOUNDATION'S offerings for drug education.
Anne's play FROM SILENCE was produced at THE THEATER FOR THE NEW CITY in November 2016, to sold houses and standing ovations. Broadway Box recommended it along side Hamilton, as one of 6 plays audiences should see after the election. FROM SILENCE was produced in the Boston area at MLT Oct. 2017, staged by director Arin Arbus at THE MUSEUM OF JEWISH HERITAGE April 2018, the Glouscester Stage featured it in their Never Dark Series 2019 and produced by Cottey College in 2020.
SAY THE NAME, a Holocaust survivor’s memoir, was staged at Harvard University and used as a text in the Divinity School. ‘Dearest Dove’, ‘Legacy of the Hanging Judge’, and ‘Spirits of the Gables’ are one act historical dramas that have been produced at The House of the Seven Gables annually since their creation in 2001. Anne has built a body of work as a playwright from a career in the theatre. She has directed for over 30 yrs. She holds an MFA from BU and 2nd MFA in Writing for Stage and Screen from Lesley University and has been a professor at Salem State University.

“Accidental Death” and "My Husband"s Keeper have been produced by the Boston Theatre Marathon, The Theatre of Light NYC,Salem Theater Company and the Firehouse Theatre. “Swami” was produced at The Leading Edge Play Festival,read at Polaris North in NYC and Lesley University. “Lies My Mother Told Me” was work-shopped at Wellesley College, Our Voices Festival. Her ten minute plays have won places in THE THEATRE FOR THE NEW CITY'S LES FESTIVAL 5 years in a row.
Anne is a member of the Dramatists Guild as well as Equity, SAG & AFTRA.

    The girls’ illness is obvious, but their mother's PDSD and the anxiety of trying to save their daughters is killing them too. Saving their own sanity will require ending self-sacrificing behaviors they see as 'love'.
    The Demon and the Reverend battle eternally. Demon’s path, addiction leads to jail, institutions or death. Who will the Reverend help to survive and thrive in recovery and who will die?

Speaking truth to authority is terrifying but now she must.

    Leah Langley hits and kills a man at night in Lynn, Ma. Officer Vernon Johnson has the task of questioning the befuddled old woman. In the course of questioning he not only discovers that she knew the victim, but that Rick Oliveiras had been her grand daughter's drug dealer and murderer. A lucky coincidence, "Act of God" as Leah states, or vehicular homicide?
  • MY HUSBAND'S KEEPER
    SYNOPSIS : Divorced ten years ago GLADYS has been asked by her daughter to visit her ex-husband WILLIAM and his 2nd wife HELEN. WILLIAM greets GLADYS as if it is 30 years ago hugging and kissing her. HELEN tells her WILLIAM has a rapidly progressing Alzheimer’s and she wants GLADYS to become his home health aide. It becomes clear GLADYS is the only wife he remembers, and she has conditions that will be hard for Helen deal with.

    Norman and Willy were best friends from childhood until 2016. Norman became a very vocal Trump supporter and never talked to Willy, a democrat, except to yell.
