“Marcus & Patty at the End of the World” is an absurdist comedy that explores why some people believe the Earth is flat, despite overwhelming evidence of the contrary. The show follows two Flat-Earthers, Marcus & Patty, who have decided to prove the powers that be wrong by sailing to the edge of the world. They begin their voyage in Italy, as the end of the world—according to Patty—is located in the Mediterranean. From the start, their journey is full of road blocks. Only a day into their mission, and the Sicilian Coast guard locks them up and impounds their boat for breaking COVID quarantine laws. As the journey progresses, the obstacles only become more far fetched. An alien on holiday; A mermaid; an ominous voice in a tempest; a fishing alligator. To Marcus, these are only further proving his theory that NASA and the NSA (and maybe Disney) are trying their best to keep Marcus from finding the well guarded edge of the world.

The expedition is complicated by the tension of a love triangle, involving the stoic camera man and captain, Carl. Aliens, Mermaids, and even the ever elusive Wombillaken make an appearance, making their journey one for the story books. Are these creatures real? Or, are they just illusions fabricated by NASA and the NSA to stop them from discovering the end of the Earth? Spoiler alert: They’re real, and the Earth is, well…not flat. Let’s just say: it doesn’t go well for our heroes in the end.
