His devised works include the immersive-theatrical-escape-room-mashups NINE CASES: COLONELS ROW and NINE CASES: ITCHY’S CAGE (Signal Section/Dutch Kills), the roving street performance BABYEARTHCART/PANOPTICON (Art in Odd Places), new play-in-progress THE CONSENSUS PLAY (Drama League) and activist agit prop event THE FLOWCHART PLAYS.

Hondo is the Artistic Director of Signal Section, a new company dedicated to idiosyncratic storytelling across mediums — including theatre, experience design, film, and audio. He has directed or developed work with the Ohio Theatre, Primary Stages, Dutch Kills, Hunger and Thirst, and simple machine, among others. His previous residencies and assistantships include the Drama League, Playwrights Horizons, and Woolly Mammoth. With his brother Nick Weiss-Richmond, Hondo is also the co-writer, co-puppeteer, and co-director of the forthcoming shadow puppet web series VESSEL 87. He holds a BFA in Drama from NYU/Tisch and an MFA in Directing from Boston University.
