When telling a story we often find ourselves following a chain of events. One thing leads to another, then to another, and to another, until we finally come to a conclusion only to glance back into the past with the lingering question what if? What if I turned left instead of right? What if I woke up 20 minutes earlier? What if I never even met them to begin with? Through unchronological storytelling Burning Hearts aims to erase the what if? and instead chooses to focus on two individuals and the moments they experience together. As we follow Ash and Ember through their journey of learning how to love. We see just how important it is to live in the moment. And just how quickly an altered timeline can permanently change what comes next.
