Jessica Golden's first full length play “Lear: An Alaskan Tragedy” was an official selection for the 2021 Valdez Theater Conference (formerly the Last Frontier Theater Conference). Her comedic radioplay “Shakespeare in Quarantine” aired on NPR (2020). She drafted "Maud of the Island" in residency with the Alaska Writer’s Workshop with Theater Alaska (2021). She also writes poetry and novels. Her writing has appeared in The William and Mary Review, Cirque, and CALYX, among other publications. She is a past recipient of the Eleanor B. North Poetry Award and a Rasmuson Foundation Individual Artist Award. She lives in Alaska where she serves on the board of directors for a non-profit theatre.
