Synopsis

Helena might be dying. But not according to her husband, Stan, who recently became a Personal Death Healer. Their children, Harley (came home to be closer to everyone during this trying time) and Maeve (works at the local farm and is actively avoiding everyone) agree to participate in structured, holistic, guru-esque, family time. Together, they will heal Helena of death!

The Box Office follows the story of Jess, Box Office Assistant, on opening night of the opera after the recent death of her stepfather. While juggling workplace stress and absurd customer demands, Jess is faced with a choice to attend her stepfather's funeral or stay behind. Harrold and Alda are in the throes of grief as they host a Catholic wake and funeral for their son, Billy. Extended family gathers together to honor Billy’s memory, but nothing is quite as it seems as each family member attempts to (re)connect and mourn with one another.

R.I.P. BILLY is a darkly funny and absurd play about family dynamics, and Grief Olympics.
