Becca Carter Freeman

Becca Carter Freeman is a multidisciplinary artist currently based in the American northeast. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, raised in Seoul, South Korea, and living out of a suitcase ever since - Becca refuses to answer the question “where are you from?” and has turned to writing as a form of finding the answer. She is an alumna of Interlochen Arts Academy, Atlantic Acting School, and holds a BFA from Boston University. Her play, WHERE DO PEACHES GROW? is the recent recipient of the Kennedy Center's "National Undergraduate Playwriting Award." In her free time, Becca likes to box, bartend, and bounce around in her blue car.

Synopsis

"Welcome Home" is set in the year 2000 and is about a girl coming home after flunking out of her first semester of college. It deals with the reasonings of her actions, secrets, what it means to be a child, and what it is like to come home after gaining a level of adulthood. We find out that though she followed all of her family's rules to success, she fell short and doesn't know how to tell the truth to the one...
