The year is 1968, a year of turmoil and change: race riots, Vietnam War protests, assassinations of Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy, the moon landing, assertion for gay rights and woman’s rights, school integration, etc. With this backdrop, 1968 is the story on one town, and four families, propped up by one factory, that is being squeezed by both the factory and the fact the town is a cancer cluster that...

The year is 1968, a year of turmoil and change: race riots, Vietnam War protests, assassinations of Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy, the moon landing, assertion for gay rights and woman’s rights, school integration, etc. With this backdrop, 1968 is the story on one town, and four families, propped up by one factory, that is being squeezed by both the factory and the fact the town is a cancer cluster that is slowly killing its citizens. The town and the families must choose between jobs and the health of its community. It must also fight to overcome the ravages of racism that further divides the town.
