Matthew Alan Craig (M.A.C) is a director, playwright, deviser, and teaching artist. Influenced by the uncompromising spirit of the In-Yer-Face theatre movement, M.A.C.'s work confronts audiences with raw, unfiltered stories rooted in empathy and emotional depth often from individuals whose stories are often underrepresented. Raised in West Texas, M.A.C. grew up in a trailer park, surrounded by the grit, struggle, and resilience of people drawn to the area by the promise of the oil field boom. While tough, It gave him an eye for the beauty in the broken and a voice that doesn’t flinch from the hard edges of reality. His theatre doesn’t aim to comfort, it aims to connect.
