  • Heart-achingly real. An exquisitely nuanced play that pulls no punches in depicting two men struggling variously to find connection, purpose and sobriety late in life. Out of a series of deceptively low-key scenes, whole worlds and compelling characters are crafted by this very skillful playwright.

  • If Maurice Sendak were to write a play, this would be it. Floyd-Priskorn has deftly crafted a parable within a twisted fairy tale in which otherworldly beings
lead a suicidal girl from the fantastical Darkness in which she believes herself entrapped to an escape from the true darkness she has generated within herself. Surprisingly profound truths surface in this very entertaining one-act.

  • With a disenchanted God setting off on an open-ended walkabout, and a bureaucratic Angel left holding the bag, this subversive comedy poses the question: Who’s really in charge here? When the exercise of power becomes a self-imposed prison and the valuation of human life is a variable, we’re cut adrift. Then again, if everything’s up for grabs, that can also be awesome.

  • I can only surmise the nine-urinal factor is what stands between this over-the-top romp and multiple productions. Brilliant satirical bite meets slapstick comedy in this zany send-up of corporate cultural dysfunction.

  • A delectable mystery/thriller concoction that sucked me right in with its unexpected twists and turns. This is jaw-droppingly accomplished dramatic storytelling.

  • Jill Maynard: Tracks (or, The People Who Live Here)

In a distressed rivertown, a motley band of adolescents gathers at a boat landing dock condemned by the imminent construction of a bullet train from New York to Albany. The specter of Johnnie Appleseed keeps a Jim Jims dispenser stocked with sour apple candies in silent rebuke to "progress" that upends the lives of the many for the benefit of the few. The shuffling of the storied past of the Hudson River Valley with myths newly minted in the course of the play are seamlessly woven together by the overarching metaphor of the railroad.
