Hannah Blau is a Chicago-based playwright, director, and educator. Her work explores the theatricality of everyday life and the blurry line between performance and reality. Hannah has worked with Annoyance Theatre, Rhino Fest, Redtwist Theatre, Mudlark Theater, Oil Lamp Theatre, The Artistic Home, and Citadel Theatre. She has taught with Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble, Chicago Youth Shakespeare, and The Viola Project. She is the co-creator and director of Bussy Talks: A Gender Performance, for which she received the Sarah Siddons grant. Hannah is a graduate of the University of Manchester, UK with a BA Honors in Drama, where she conducted original research on theatre education’s role in the social and emotional development of high-school-aged young adults.
